1973 Polaris TX STARFIRE

Earlier this winter, Larry got one of his old Polaris TX Starfire snowmobiles
off the shelf, dusted it off, fired it up, and said to his nephew Jacob..........
Let's go racing!
Jacob's dad, John, preped the 73 Polaris TX Starfire 795 and they did it!

Well, 16 year old Jacob Goede went to a few S.L.E.D.S. Vintage Races 
and did very well as shown by the trophys.
His first race was at the Midwest Vintage Snowmobile Show in Waconia, MN
on February 3, 2001. He raced in the 75 and older open modified class.
He took a 3rd place at that race.

His second race meet was at a S.L.E.D.S. race at Glenwood, MN at the
Bonanza Valley Snowmobile Show on February 10, 2001. 
He took 1st place  in the 85 and older open modified oval class, and also took
1st place in the 85 and older open modified Lemans class.

His third race meet of the season was at a S.L.E.D.S. race event at Strathcona, MN
on February 17, 2001. He took a 1st place in the 85 and older open modified oval class.
He also took a 2nd place in the 75 and older open modified oval class.

(They probably haven't seen the last of Jacob on the snowmobile race track)
